L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"The Rosé 2012 Intens Rosat Brut Nature Gran Reserva is an unusual blend of 71% Monastrell, 23% Pinot Noir and 6% Garnacha from two small family vineyards and it also has a (nowadays) atypical deep, dark, pink color. The grapes are macerated with the skins for six hours (that explains the color) and 10% of the volume was matured in oak barrels for two months before being blended and put to referment in bottle with neutral yeasts; it is disgorged after no less than three years. They serve this wine in a Burgundy glass, as it's the most exuberant and explosive of their portfolio, and needs room to breath. Like I find with the wines of Anselme Selosse, this is more a wine than a Cava, it just happens to have bubbles, and it's completely different from the majority of sparkling Rosés, completely dry, with marked bitterness and some tannins, as it macerated with the skins. This is a wine that improves with time. From the 2014 vintage, this wine will only be a blend of Monastrell with some 30% Garnacha, as they ripped up the Pinot Noir. 15,000 bottles produced."
