Description

Jeb Dunnuck:

More depth and richness emerge from the 2018 Châteauneuf Du Pape Pure Roussanne, which displays serious amounts of minerality as well as notes of tangerine, peach, spice-box, and brioche. Nicely textured, concentrated, and balanced, it was brought up all in new oak, but you’d never know that by tasting it. The 2018 vintage was difficult for the whites, but this is brilliant. Give it a year and it should age for over a decade.

The Wine Advocate:

Usseglio's 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape Pure Roussanne is all barrel fermented and aged. Toast and vanilla notes dominate this young wine, so stash it in the cellar for a year or two. There's plenty of underlying pineapple fruit, which just needs some time to uncoil and show itself.
