James Suckling:

A complex Rioja with a nice balsamic touch with a hint of dark earth to the smoked black cherries, blackberries and roasted spices. Lots of depth and ripeness here, with a hint of dried red fruit. Tight, dusty tannins gradually melt away with juicy berries on the full-bodied palate. Very long and compact in the finish. Tempranillo peludo (hairy tempranillo). Drink or hold.

Decanter:

Pure and dense plum, wood and blackcurrant nose. Intense, characterful wine with a fresh palate, racy acidity and a medium finish.
