"The 2012 Tinto is a blend of 45% Aragonez, 35% Alicante Bouschet, 10% Touriga Nacional and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 14 months in a mixture of 50% new French and Portuguese barrels. It comes in at 14% alcohol. This is a fine offering in this mini-vertical, this being the latest in the brand. It will not be released until late in 2018, about a year from now (2019 for the USA). Showing the finesse of the 2007 but without as much fruit or depth, this is still way too young, a wine that may not be ready even on release despite the late release. Its fresh feel leads to a juicy and flavorful finish but the tannins are a little too aggressive just now. It needs to come around, so plan to hold it a couple more years after release for best results. It may yet be entitled to an uptick."
En 1989 se inició la primera plantación de viñas en Quinta do Mouro, con las primeras seis hectáreas plantadas alrededor de la casa, en terrenos calcáreos y sin riego, lo que supuso un desafío.

Muy bien elaborado. Potente, nos recordará a algún Ribera con Cabernet, pero con muy buena acidez y tanicidad
No le habría venido nada mal un par de años más de bodega, taninos excesivamente potentes pero ya un buen vino
