The Wine Advocate:

The 2017 Tinto Crasto Superior is a blend of 50% Touriga Nacional, 20% Tinta Roriz, 25% Touriga Franca and just 5% Sousão, aged for 12 months in 35% new French oak. It comes in at 14.4% alcohol. The grapes are all sourced from Quinta da Cabreira in Douro Superior. An increasingly impressive value, this brand goes from strength to strength these days. This is smooth in texture, but it still finishes with firmness, suggesting it can age well and develop much more. It has plenty of concentration and expressive fruit to go with the fine structure. It is perfectly balanced. I'm wondering at this point if this is the best Superior I've yet seen from Crasto. When all is said and done, I think the answer will be yes, although it does need to develop a bit over the next few years. It certainly should. The only problem for Crasto here is that it may be difficult to get people to trade up to the pricier labels while this is still available. I guess there are worse problems to have. There were 129,738 regular bottles produced, plus some in other formats.
