Purgatori 2015

The fourth vintage of the red from the Pallars subzone of Costers del Segre, the 2015 Purgatori is a blend of 45% Garnacha, 40% Cariñena and 15% that fermented in stainless steel and matured for 15 to 18 months in barrique, 40% of them new. It comes through as a bit anonymous but is nicely crafted, with some oak aromas and flavors that would please many. The palate is medium-bodied and has sleek tannins, a soft texture and ripe fruit flavors.

A layered and fruity red with plums, berries and hints of walnuts. Medium body. Easy and soft finish. Drink now.
