I tasted two vintages—2017 and 2018—of their single-vineyard bottling produced with grapes from a very old two-hectare plot in the village of Cadalso de los Vidrios called Prado los Pinos. The 2017 Pico del Mirlo Garnacha fermented with 20% full clusters in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in 600-liter French oak barrels for 10 months, including malolactic. It has more ripeness, extraction, oak and tannins, which makes it come through as a little more rustic too. 3,500 bottles were filled in November 2018.

Fresco, fluido, frutal y balsámico. Ruiquísimo
Una garnacha de Gredos bien hecha, muy característica, diferentes pero algo subidas de precio.
Recuerda muy bien la zona donde crece esta preciosa garnacha, expresión de terruño. Hay que tomarlo con cuidado por el grado que tiene.
