The Wine Advocate:

The 2019 Alvarinho / Loureiro Pássaros Escolha is a roughly equal blend coming in at 12.5% alcohol. Drier than last year's, it has only 1.5 grams per liter of residual sugar, plus 6.8 of total acidity. Feeling solid in the mid-palate, this shows good acidity to support the fruit and the fine, lingering finish that I expect. Delicious, but serious and beautifully structured, it left me wondering if this might be the best since the 2015, granting that it is hard to make close calls when they aren't all here. The overall quality is consistent and high. This is a style with some solidity and power. Other blends this issue (for example, the Soalheiro Allo) focus more on transparency and delicacy. They are both great and each has its merits. Suit your tastes—or, perhaps, your purpose, as this will likely hold up a bit better to food. Finally, let's lean up for the moment and see how this develops. On the other hand, I'll be conservative in drinking windows. However, as with some of its siblings, it is more likely to surprise than disappoint in terms of its ability to age.
