Maison Les Alexandrins Hermitage 2015

The 2015 Hermitage comes mostly from the Grandes Vignes and Greffieux lieux-dits, with smaller amounts from the more limestone soils of the Muret lieu-dit. Aged in 30% new French oak, with the balance in stainless steel, it offers a ripe, voluptuous style in its blueberry and cassis fruits as well as more nuanced violet, crushed rocks, and cured meat aromatics. This medium to full-bodied, rounded, nicely concentrated Hermitage has sweet tannin and an already approachable, forward style that’s ideal for drinking over the coming 7-8 years.
