The Wine Advocate:
The 2017 Pic Saint Loup les Demoiselles de Lavabre was slated to be bottled a couple of weeks after my visit. It's a solid example of the appellation, combining elements of crushed stone, licorice, violets and blueberries into a complex, savory wine. Medium to full-bodied, it's ripe and supple but constrained, controlled and composed, with a long, focused finish.
