The Wine Advocate:

The bright pale-yellow 2018 Laventura Viura was produced with grapes from two plots: one in Villabuena de Álava and the other one in Laguardia, where the old vines have both red and white grapes interplanted. It fermented and matured for one year in a 2,500-liter oak vat and 500-liter oak barrels. There is no oak, and there is a sense of harmony and subtleness that I like very much. It showcases the profile of the grape and the cooler year. It's medium-bodied and has moderate alcohol, and it's clean, tasty and precise, which is the house style. The wine is austere rather than exuberant, 5,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2019.
