The Wine Advocate:

The 2014 Laderas de Sedella now has the word "Ánfora" on its label. It is produced from 0.9 hectares of a field blend of Romé, Garnacha, Jaén, Montua and Moscatel Romano Rosillo planted on slate soils in 2008 following the blend found in the old original Sedella vineyard. All the grapes were handpicked at the same time and fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts. It was transferred to oak and cement vats and clay amphorae for malolactic and then aged for 14 months in eggs and amphorae. It has an earthy nose, with ripe fruit and a sweet spicy touch. Nicely balanced, with less acidity than the 2013, it feels more integrated, still youthful and lively, with stuffing and balance to develop nicely in bottle. With time, the 20% or so of the volume that was in oak seems to emerge and is quite strong. The wine sees no oak in the following vintages. 3,217 bottles were filled in January 2016. -Luis Gutiérrez.
