Labros 2016

It seems like the cooler year benefitted the 2016 Labros, the warmer of the Garnacha vineyards from Marañones. It's a 0.7-hectare plot planted 70 years ago that in this cooler year delivered a wine with less color, more floral and less ripe. It feels very young, and the tannins are very fine, less grainy and earthy than in other years. This is the best vintage I remember for Labros. 2,000 bottles were filled in April 2018. - Luis Gutiérrez.
