L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"My favorite in the lineup is inevitably a subtle Garnacha from their oldest vineyard, always an elegant, floral and mineral wine. The 2014 Viña Escondida is the next vintage after 2011, as they didn't bottle the 2012 or 2013. It is always produced with the grapes from an 80-year-old vineyard on a slope in a mountain environment on granite soils. The full clusters had a ten-day cold soak and then were slowly treaded by foot or with very soft pigeage to avoid extracting too much, while keeping the temperature below 24 degrees Celsius. It matured in 2,000-liter French oak foudre for 18 months. This is a super elegant, subtle and perfumed vintage with great balance. It's finely textured, velvety and with very good freshness. This has to be he finest vintage with the initial 2007. 2,200 bottles were filled in May 2016".
