The Wine Advocate:

The 2017 La Viña de Ayer is their village red, produced with Garnacha grapes from different parts of Cebreros, the appellation of origin that it now carries. 2017 was a warm year marked by frost and hail, resulting in tiny yields. The destemmed grapes from organically farmed old vines fermented in concrete with indigenous yeasts. The wine was kept for 10 months in 1,500-liter oak vats and partly in concrete. It has a fruit-driven nose with contained ripeness, aromatic and faintly floral. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe flavors and fine, granite-infused tannins. It's very fresh for the warm conditions of the year. 75,000 bottles and 500 magnums produced. It was bottled in January 2019.
