L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"The 2016 La Garnacha de Mustiguillo is produced with grapes from head-pruned and dry-farmed vines planted in the 1980s on limestone soils. It fermented destemmed with indigenous yeasts in an 8,000-liter oak vat, but they added back some 25% of the stems. It matured in a 5,000-liter oak vat and used French barriques for ten months. There is more freshness here, still with Mediterranean character, some fine-grained, dusty tannins, some chalky/dusty texture and a tasty finish. The aromas of Mediterranean herbs grew as the wine sat in the glass. 10,540 bottles were filled in September 2017."

Decanter:

Lovely floral aromas to the red fruit nose, the palate has vibrant acidity underpinning lovely round black and red fruit, silky smooth tannin and lovely acidity on the long finish.

Peñín:

Color: cereza poco intenso. Aroma: elegante, fruta roja, fruta madura, varietal, especiado. Boca: lleno, sabroso, taninos maduros, largo.
