Günther Steinmetz Kestener Paulinsberg Riesling Auslese 2018

The 2018 Kestener Paulinsberg Riesling Auslese (Gold Capsule) is very clear and delicate on the well-defined and slatey/crunchy nose. Lush and generous on the palate, this is a rich but salty-piquant and highly refined Auslese with great balance and a seamless texture. The finish is salty and fresh and maintains the outstanding finesse of this lush, generously sweet Auslese. This wine has serious grip and inner tension and can age for three decades or more. It was bottled at the end of February with 8% alcohol and 120 grams of residual sugar. Tasted in March 2019.
