L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The oak-aged 2015 Jarrarte is pure Tempranillo matured in used oak barrels for 12 months. The grapes come from different vineyards, and even if the harvest was better than the 2014, it also had some challenges. It was interesting to compare the wine with the 2016 vintage that I also tasted next to it. This 2015 shows higher ripeness, and the fruit leans more toward black rather than red. There are some Mediterranean notes of rosemary and thyme. The palate reveals some dusty tannins and juicy fruit, with a rustic touch. 14,800 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2017.

Tim Atkin:

One of two wines under the Jarrate brand, this sees oak, has more backbone and comes from a myriad of different parcels. Serious and sappy for a young wine that's meant to be drunk comparatively early, this has stylish wood, bramble and raspberry fruit and some tannic grip. 2021-24
