Pour ce vin, Izadi emploie tous les cépages autochtones blancs admis dans l’appellation de Rioja. Il obtient ainsi un blanc très singulier, né des vignobles les plus anciens de la région. Un vin frais, bien structuré et avec une acidité plus que correcte.

Vignobles les plus anciens de Villabuena de Álava. Ils sont situés en coteau, entre 450 et 550 mètres d’altitude, orientés nord-est/sud-ouest.

The surprising white 2019 Blanco has all the white grapes you can imagine—Garnacha Blanca, Maturana Blanca, Torrontés, Viura, Malvasía and Tempranillo Blanco—fermented in different vessels, while in the past it contained less varieties and was all barrel fermented. I think this has increased the complexity and nuance and lowered the effect of the oak in the wine. It comes through as balsamic with even some minty notes and quite fresh and vibrant, clean and tasty, with a dry finish. 24,681 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2020.
