Günther Steinmetz Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Auslese 2018

The 2018 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese (Gold Capsule) is very clear and refined but generous at the same time. It is wonderfully slatey, crunchy and highly finessed, with lots of tropical fruit aromas, such as mangoes and papayas, that intermix with notes of smooth brown slate. The palate is lush, generous, very elegant and finessed, with delicious piquancy and lingering salinity. This is a mouth-filling, lush and seductive Juffer-Sonnenuhr that was bottled with 120 grams of residual sugar and almost 8% alcohol. Tasted in March 2019.
