L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

2016 was a fresher year than 2015, and so the 2016 Ferrer-Bobet is also fresher than the 2015, with a little less alcohol and more acidity. The blend changed a bit—there is less Syrah and Cabernet (a constant in the last few years)—to 60% Cariñena, 25% Garnacha, 10% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a beautiful nose of fresh fruit, with cherries and a peachy quality, very subtle oak and spices. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins and vibrant acidity. 22,475 bottles and 500 magnums produced. It was bottled in March 2018.

James Suckling:

Such purity of ripe blackberries and dark cherries, as well as redder, cherry notes, really makes a striking impression on the nose. The fresh florals and leafy nuances are followed by such pure berries and red plums. The tannins are stunning, so polished and perfectly formed, holding super long and fresh. Wow. Drink or hold.
