L'avis des experts

Tim Atkin:

El Anejón is only made in the best vintages, of which the Mediterranean style 2015 was certainly one. Marrying Tempranillo with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot in 2015, this comes from limestone soils at 850 metres in Peñafiel. Always a very perfumed style, it's taught and refreshing with impressive concentration, fine tannins and well-judged new French oak. 2021-30

James Suckling:

Impressive depth of ripe dark plums and blackberries here with intense rich, dark plums and a glossy, smooth-honed and focused finish. Really impressive Ribera. Drink or hold.

The Wine Advocate:

The 2015 El Anejón is a wine that is not necessarily produced every vintage, and in 2015, it is a blend of 75% Tempranillo, 15% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon that was matured in new French barriques for one year. 2015 was a ripe and dry year, and the wine shows high ripeness and the nutty character of the aged wines in new oak, with plenty of sweet spices. It has a full-bodied palate where you get the herbal and ripe combination of the varietal flavors. It still feels quite tannic. 16,000 bottles.
