Domaine de la Vougeraie Puligny Montrachet Champ Gain Premier Cru 2017

Champ Gain sits between St-Aubin and Blagny, close to the top of the slope in Puligny-Montrachet. It's one of the cooler, later-ripening sites in the appellation, and has lent this example aromas of beeswax and wet stone, with sensitive oaking on the palate accompanied by some subtle matchstick reduction and vivid acidity.
