Cos Pés 2018

L'avis des experts
The Albariño 2018 Cos Pés fermented with the skins for two months, so it's a skin-contact "orange" wine if you like. This results in softer acidity, polished even further after the wine matured in well-seasoned 500-liter oak barrels for one year. It's a bright amber color and has a very unusual nose of hops—it smells like an IPA with some tangerine peel. It feels like the vinification with stems makes the acidity lower. This was inspired by a wine from Foradori. It's powerful but does not show much typicity of the grape or the place, and it's more a process wine than a wine from a place. 1,200 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2019.
