L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The 2016 Catena Cabernet Sauvignon blends grapes from different terroirs of Mendoza and contains some 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, but it's still legally a varietal red. It matured in French and American oak barrels for one year before bottling. The varietal aromas soar from the glass, with a traditional Bordeaux profile. It was harvested early, before March 15th, and it shows in the freshness. These Catena varietals really excel in 2016. 168,000 bottles produced.

James Suckling:

Generous cassis fruit and a hint of chocolate make this a prototypic Argentinian cabernet with enough tannins to balance and a nice supple finish. Very successful for this vintage. 90% cabernet sauvignon, 7% cabernet franc and 3% petit verdot. Drink now.
