Casa Los Frailes 1771 2013
Fiche technique
L'avis des experts
"The impressive 2013 1771 pays homage to the date when the property was created and is a pure old-vine, dry-farmed Monastrell from a cool and late harvest fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic was carried away in cement tanks where the wine matured for some six/seven months and then transferred to 700-liter French and Hungarian oak barrels where it completed its élevage until bottling. It feels quite polished, in fact a little advanced for its age, but that can be seen as an advantage as it shows more complex aromatics, quite varietal. It also revealed a soft palate with resolved tannins and a clear Mediterranean aftertaste full of herbs that make it delicious. Juicy and tasty, really pleasant. 5,000 bottles produced."
