The Wine Advocate:

"The 2012 Verdejo was fermented and aged for ten months in oak barrels so it has a smoky, spicy profile from the wood with abundant notes of candied orange peel, fennel, apricot and hints of fennel and aniseed. The palate is medium-bodied, with pungent flavors, good weight of fruit and enough stuffing to develop in bottle. I’m looking forward to the 2013 vintage of this wine. One for white meat. Drink now-2016. This small family winery was created in 2008 and released its first wine from the 2009 vintage. They have their vineyards in Nieva in the cooler part of the appellation in the province of Segovia at 9,000 meters altitude. These wines are nice, clean, and true to their origin".
