"The 2009 Aurus has a backward but well-defined bouquet with cassis, blueberry jam and violet, the creamy new oak slightly better integrated than say, the 2007 Aurus. The palate is full-bodied with rounded tannins that belie the backbone. It has great weight and density, yet it remains refined and composed towards the finish, with notes of baked cherry, cassis and vanilla. Lovely! Drink 2018-2030."
