The Wine Advocate:

There are three single-vineyard Monastrell bottlings, each named after one of the members of the family. The 2018 Antonio Piernas was produced with the fruit from a 1.2-hectare vineyard planted some 45 years ago with a high-yielding clone that has to be worked to obtain a quality wine. It fermented in stainless steel and matured in 500-liter oak barrels for nine months. The wine feels built and detailed, nicely crafted, with very good balance and integration of the different elements. There is varietal character, good ripeness, juicy fruit and some chalky tannins and an extra level of freshness. 1,500 bottles and 100 magnums were produced. It was bottled in August 2019.
