The Wine Advocate:

I also tasted the third vintage of the red 2018 Aliaxe, a similar blend of Caíño with 20% each Espadeiro and Loureiro from a warmish year. The wine is still quite low in alcohol, 11.5%, and has notable acidity, and it was produced in a similar way to the 2017 I tasted next to it, with an élevage in well-seasoned and neutral barrels for 12 months. This is more serious and backward, closed, nuanced and complex, but in an insinuating way. It has the acid berries and the spices, herbs and dry flowers from the most elegant reds from the zone. This has depth and nuance and all that is needed for a positive development in bottle. 1,200 bottles were filled in February 2020.
