The Wine Advocate:

The light red blend with moderate alcohol, notable acidity and balsamic aromas is the 2017 Aliaxe, a blend of 60% Caíño and 20% each Espadeiro and Loureiro Tinto from 20- to 70-year-old vines from vineyards in different zones and with different soils. The destemmed grapes fermented in open vats with indigenous yeasts and 40 days of maceration, after which the wine was transferred to 300-liter oak barrels, where it matured for 12 months. This is very aromatic, expressive and open, with some meaty notes, boiled meat or smoky bacon, reminiscent of a marine Northern Rhône with a balsamic herbal character, perfumed and really showy. The palate is light to medium-bodied, sharp and mineral, a red from the sea with great freshness and very tasty flavors. 1,200 bottles were filled in April 2019.
