L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"A new top-of-the-range Chardonnay, the 2013 Alfa Crux Chardonnay, is sourced from 15-year-old vineyards on stony soils form Gualtallary. The must fermented in second-use, 500-liter French oak barrels where the wine matured for one year. The oak is perfectly integrated and there is spiciness (nutmeg) plus something like decayed roses on the nose making it quite different, elegant and aromatic. The palate is fresh with good acidity, pungent flavors, fine tannins that stick to your teeth and a very nice persistence. They aimed for a more European style in this Chardonnay, and they got it! 1,200 bottles produced."
