L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The top of the range from Mallorca, the 2017 8 Vents is a red blend sourced from different vineyards in different parts of the island; it's a mix of French and local grapes—Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mantonegro and Callet—but is dominated by the herbal and spicy aromas of the French varieties. This has 15% alcohol, corresponding to a warm-climate zone. It also has toasty flavors, possibly from the élevage in French oak. The palate has green, spicy and toasty flavors coupled with a creamy texture. 20,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2019. - Luis Gutiérrez.

Suckling:

The nose here is brimming with cinnamon and spices, as well as dark cherries, eucalyptus and juniper berries. Meaty and full-bodied on the palate. The tannins have drying quality to them, and the finish is long and spicy. Drink in 2023.
