Description

The Wine Advocate:

"When I put my nose in the glass of the 2013 Soplo I got some earthy, slightly rustic notes that made me doubt if the Garnacha they referred to was in realty Garnacha Tintorera, as it happens in some regions, and Cambra works very close to the Almansa zone where Tintorera thrives, so I asked for confirmation. He used 10% full clusters for the fermentation in 5,000-liter vats with soft pumping over. The wine matured in well-seasoned 500-liter French oak barrels for four months and then transferred to cement vats where it was kept until bottling quite late, in August 2015. I found it more serious than the recollection that I had of it, with very fine tannins and citric acidity that provide lively freshness. Elegant with punch. Superb value. And yes Garnacha it is. 2,000 bottles produced."
