Marqués de Griñón Graciano 2012

"The Graciano must be one of the newer kids on the block at the Valdepusa vineyards, and was first produced in 2010. I tasted the 2012 Graciano, from vines pruned in a simple Guyot and planted with high density. It matured in mostly new French oak barrels for some 20 months. It felt oakier than its siblings, with abundant creamy oak and plenty of sweet spices. The palate showed similar flavors and some dusty tannins, in need of some more time in bottle. But this will reach a good balance with its fine acidity and juicy fruit. 7,800 bottles were filled in July 2015".
