Ferrer Bobet Selecció Especial 2013

"The top-of-the-range 2013 Selecció Especial is pure Cariñena from very old vineyards, fermented in 1,500- and 3,000-liter oak vats followed by malolactic in lightly toasted, new French oak barrels, where it matured for 18 months. It'st riper than I expected, with notes of black fruit, a touch of graphite and also wet slate, sweet spices and smoke. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated with glossy tannins. It shows some development. 3,000 bottles were filled in July 2015."
