"Produced with a blend of 88% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2012 Dehesa de los Canónigos displays an exuberant, perfumed nose with floral notes and nicely-integrated oak. I was surprised to read in the technical sheet that the wine matured in American barrels for 15 months, yet it didn't have any coconut or vanilla aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins and good acidity, balanced, approachable and with persistent, tasty flavors. 160,000 bottles".
